As of today, the U.S.’s outstanding public debt has reached a total of (get this) $9,397,773,865,569.76.
The estimated population of the United States is 303,683,968.
Thus, each citizen owes the government $30,945.90.
That’s not all: the national debt continues to increase at an estimated $1.64 billion per day!
